Singapore Comic Con 2019 Wrap-up

Thanks to everyone who came to visit us at the Singapore Comic Con on 7th and 8th of December!

Over the course of the two days, The Legitimate Business, together with Gamersaurus Rex, organised the D&D tables at SGCC at the Marina Bay Sands! We had 17 tables, hosted 210 players (including repeat players), and of course, loads of fun.

What they’ll soon discover is that there can never be too many dice

The bulk of our players joined our Introduction to D&D sessions. 146 players joined our Intro-sessions, accounting for about 70% of our playercount. We hosted quick 1-hour games using pre-generated characters to teach convention-goers the basics of D&D.

The Marina Bay Sands also played host to the Global Premiere of three Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus Adventurers League Modules: DDAL09-08 In the Garden of Evil, DDAL09-09 Ruined Prospects, DDAL09-10 Tipping the Scales. Yes, that means SGCC got onto the Adventurers League Website!

Some lucky players also got to try the Stranger Things inspired adventure: Hunt for the Thesselhydra!

Of course, all our Adventurers League players know that a convention is just an excuse to host an EPIC ADVENTURE. SGCC was no exception. We hosted DDEP 09-02 Hellfire Requiem. 47 players across 8 tables (and the surprise bonus table) battled to save the denizens of Torm’s Hand from being trapped in Hell. Unfortunately, despite the heroic sacrifice of the Hellriders in their glory ride, they weren’t able to save the village itself. Ah well, at least no one important died or got left behind.

Fai Chen’s Fantastical Faire also made an appearance, doing some Legitimate Business with our convention-goers. It’s been a long time since the travelling merchant has deigned to do business in Singapore. With Season 9 of the Adventurers League here, Fai Chen revealed his infernal ties, accepting Soul Coins, the currency of Hell.

The Legitimate Business like to thank all our Volunteers and DMs for making this event a success. We would also like to thank Gamersaurus Rex for supporting us and our community and letting us organise D&D at their space at the Singapore Comic Con.
